Baking Bread

Its been ages that I have been thinking of writing a blog but some how never got about doing it now at last have made up my mind to go ahead and start writing a blog.  Now promising my self was very easy but what to write? was a big question mark and then I thought why not write about my bakery products which I any ways end  making almost every other day but being technologically challenged have been struggling with the template for 3 hrs now and I am almost ready to give up then I think no I must write now that i have made up my mind or this job will just remain one of those jobs which I always think of doing but never will . So the first thing which I thought will start making something which is extremely easy to bake that is bake bread roll.  For those of you who want to take up baking seriously one important tip for you please invest in a good electronic weighing scale because good scaling is one of the most important aspects of baking.  Now with the topic of bread have a taken a very simple no brainer recipe

Bread Rolls
300 gms flour
130 ml water
120 ml milk
10 gms active dry yeast
8 gms of salt
20 gms of caster sugar

Scale all the ingredients

Now mix together Active dry yeast, sugar, water and milk in a bowl and throughly mix all the ingredients until the yeast is completely disolved

In a Bigger Bowl add in shifted flour and salt make a well in the center and add in the yeast, milk and water mixture.

Start kneading the dough till its very soft you may add water if you feel the mixture is dry and go on kneading and working on the gluten for 4-5 mins till the dough feels very soft to touch

After the dough is nice and smooth apply some oil in the bowl and put the dough in bowl
cover it with a wet duster.
Now you may keep this dough for proving in a warm place for 2 hours.  I get better results if i prove the dough .  After the dough is proved it doubles in size.
Now is the time you can practice your boxing skills and punch the dough and remove all the air and knead it a little bit and start dividing the dough ideally 70-80 gms and shape the dough.

Now re prove this dough for another 30 mins or until the dough is double in size

Now with a small pastry brush apply some egg wash to the reproved dough  (Egg Wash = 1 egg+1tsp milk+Sugar+Salt) this is done to give it a nice golden colour .  You can sprinkle some sesame seeds or  poppy seeds  over the bread.

Now bake the bread in a preheated oven about 180 degrees for abot 15 mins or till the bread gets a nice golden colour
